NOT SO REMOTELY CONTROLLING
The experts who say that toddlers should not watch any television have not tried to cook dinner or take a 3 minute shower while raising one of these little people. That said, 23% (of our more intrepid /creative / insert-not-as-flattering-word-here members) keep it to no toddler TV ever. 50% of us limit toddler TV to 1 hour per day (and many of these moms remember the “day they lost their will” and the ensuing slippery slope).
So for those whose brainpower is slowly getting drained away by your children, that’s 73% of kids watching under 7 hours of TV per week. These same moms reported that 73% of you ADULTS also watch under 7 hours of anything per week (TV, sports, online videos, news, etc). I guess my brainpower is getting sucked away by television, because I’m definitely watching more TV than that. Come on, you all must be under reporting? At least I can say that my kids are watching less TV than I am, which sounds pretty good as long as no questions are asked.
P.S. Happy I’m not 7 to 11 years old, as 67% of us don’t let them watch any TV during the week (of course they’re likely in their room texting for hours on end so who has time for TV?).
