Erin R., blogger at Mommy on the Spot

We first met Erin R. of Mommy on the Spot at Blogher 2011. Since then, we’ve loved seeing the ways she uses SkinnyScoop lists to collect the things she knows and loves and has made them a permanent fixture in her Thursday feature.

Today we’re featuring Erin in our weekly Member Spotlight:

How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging for almost three years.

What are your goals for your blog?

Writing and connecting with others are the core reasons for my blog which have not changed over the course of three years. The depth of these goals was expanded after the first time I went to BlogHer ’10 where I discovered the different opportunities that blogging can present. I want to lay down the stepping stones for a freelance writing career while being open to any other amazing possibilities that may come my way.

What has been your favorite part about using SkinnyScoop so far?

The most rewarding part about using SkinnyScoop has been the positive people I have met. Not just fellow SkinnyScoop users, but the people who work there. The SkinnyScoop staff has kept their promises and shown appreciation for my contributions, and I felt that I have learned what true collaboration can be.

I once wrote this in my blog, “I used to be a cynic when people said if you love what you do, good things happen. I didn’t understand because I hadn’t found ‘The Thing’ that I truly love to do. Now that I found blogging, I can’t help but believe that.”

I am grateful for every positive experience that I have had while blogging. I am very excited to be a Featured Member at SkinnyScoop.
