A SkinnyScoop member commented: I eat 5-6 small meals a day; have done so for years. Is that snacking? It probably seems so -- but it's just the same amount of food broken up in smaller amounts in shorter spaces. And I eat little fruit and veggie snacks in between. Ok, I never stop eating. Sigh.
A SkinnyScoop member commented: Good habits are the only way. My friends are pretty healthy in their habits too.
A SkinnyScoop member commented: Back in my 20s I never would have guessed I'd answer this way. I was always a fairly healthy eater but I used to eat out a lot and for a long time I ate three meals a day at my desk at the office. I can't remember ever cooking a meal in the NYC apartment I lived in for three years. But I've really started to enjoy cooking in the last couple of years since my daughter was born, and eating out can actually be harder/more stressful than cooking when you have kids. Plus, cooking vs. eating out just naturally lends itself to healthier food in smaller quantities. My commitment to giving my daughter lots of fruits and vegetables has probably doubled my intake of them. My husband isn't around for dinner during the week very often, but my daughter and I always sit down together to eat. Family meals are really important to me. Healthy + family is what it's all about for me right now. Note to self: remember how well the foodlife is working out when stressing about other areas of life. Thanks for asking this question, Jill. I've never heard the term "foodlife" before, but I like it.
