A SkinnyScoop member commented: The main way I volunteer my time is that I sit on two boards - Stanford Business School and (even nearer & dearer to my heart) Women's Initiative which provides low-income women with the training, funding and ongoing support to start their own business and become economically self-sufficient. Both causes involve board meeting, other events and plenty of fundraising. I also do volunteer for both of my children's schools but I put that in a different bucket.
A SkinnyScoop member commented: I sit on my daughter's preschool's development committee as well as the board of a national non-profit. We are always looking for ways to fundraise more money in a more efficient manner.
A SkinnyScoop member commented: It comes in chunks as I sit on two non-profit boards. Some months I have close to 15+ hours but some its more like 3-5 hours.
