Sweet Potatoes (in the microwave!)
I love a sweet potato for a healthy, filling snack. I usually microwave one for 3-4 minutes. I won't lie...I've been known to eat one for breakfast too!
Sweet potato is rich in Vitamin A (betacarotene) and Vitamin C. Both Vitamins A and C are powerful antioxidants that work in the body to remove free radicals, this free radicals are chemicals that damage cells.

Egg Whites (in the microwave!)
To make: Add egg whites on plate with your desired seasonings (I like salt and pepper). Put on for 1 min. If you like them runny that should be good. If not, heat up a little longer. Enjoy!
Egg whites are the perfect meal/snack for on the go. They are very convenient and can be made in the microwave.

Hard Boiled (and already peeled) Eggs
I have found these to be super convenient when you need that extra snack. They work great with salad and there is no need to peel. It's all done for you! Also great before/after working out to keep you satisfied while giving you some needed protein.
No time to make hard boiled eggs? Buy them in the egg section at Trader Joe's!

String Cheese
High in protein, it offers a bit of fat and has only 80 calories. Also has a longer shelf life than most snacks, 2-3 months! My go-to brand is Precious, great taste and the stringiest!

Low fat and full of healthy benefits, mini pitas and hummus are a great afternoon snack. My favorite are whole wheat pitas and spicy hummus, both from Trader Joe's!

Open Faced, Healthy Ham & Cheese Melt (in the microwave!)
"Melt down the cheese in the toaster oven, top with ham and veggies, then eat it open-faced. The sandwich has enough protein and fiber to keep you feeling full until dinnertime."
Using a slice of whole-grain bread (or one of those yummo Sandwich Thins), a bit of lower-fat cheese, lean ham, lettuce, and tomatoes, you can have a snack-size, healthier version of a cheese melt.

Carrot, Cream-Cheese + Raisin Rollup
Surprisingly delicious, this easy 'mini meal' is perfect for your desk! With only four ingredients, all it requires is a quick trip to the grocery store and 5 minutes prep-time at work. Plus, 4-5 small rolls equals around 100 calories!
Snack Girl Lisa Cain did well with this one! "The sweetness of the carrots and raisins are a nice treat and I adore making my food look like sushi," she writes. "This kinda looks like sushi made by an amateur drunk sushi chef!" Ha.

Fig and Goat Cheese Crostini
This is so yummy! Claudia and I were introduced to this by a Trader Joe's sample actually. Get some figs and goat cheese and put them on top of a slice of toasted sourdough bread = DELICIOUS!

Turkey Jerky
I love beef jerky but turkey jerky is a healthier choice. I've tried premium jerkies which are a great option, though Jack Link's turkey jerky is a great grab & go too.
