    Mom says: "I was interested in reading this book after seeing Kathy Freston on Oprah last year. This was an interesting book and she includes some great vegan resources in the back. I would have loved a section with recipes just to try out, but she does provide a list of cookbooks that she recommends. If you are thinking about going vegan I certainly recommend this book."

    Mom says: "I picked ths book simply based on the title. It sounded so interesting. Although the story was good, and had many fascinating parts, it lacked a bit of depth. Overall if you want a quick, easy read about the restaurant industry and how it impacted a young girl then this book is for you!"

    Mom says: "I never read this book in high school, and I would like to read all the classics, so this was next on my list. I enjoyed the book but I probably would have liked it better if I had read it as a teenager. "

    Mom says: "I truly enjoyed this book! It was a fun read and it provided so many interesting views into the world of food critics, reality tv food shows, and how the top kitchens work. Her life is so interesting and I ould totally see myself as friends with Gail. Pour yourself a nice glass of wine and dig into this book!"

    Mom says: "I had read that this book was remarkable. That is true, but it completely and utterly sad. I didn't realize how indepth it would get regarding the concentration camps. I don't actually recommend the book unless you want to read about the Nazi treatment of captives. The book left me sad and amazed that people made it though."

    Mom says: "I loved this book! It was so interesting to read about Starbucks trials. I haven't had a cup of their coffee in many, many years, but am thinking I need to stop into my local shop and give their Pike Place brew a try. "

    Mom says: "I saw the interviews Mimi gave on NBC and thought the book sounded interesting. It really didn't add anything new, so if you have seen the interviews you basically read the book. It was interesting, and short (just less than 200 pages) and would make a good, quick beach read."
    • Claudia Roldan: I love this review, so honest! I didn't get around to watching the interviews but glad to know this book is similar to interviews.
