According to the National Cancer Institute there are approximately 230,000 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed each year and 40,000 breast cancer related deaths. Get a mammogram.

The National Cancer Institute recommends that women age 40 or older should have screening mammograms every 1 to 2 years.

Mammograms are still one of the best ways to detect breast cancer and early detection means early treatment. And they don't hurt that much!

Join the Love/Avon Army of Women

The Army of Women is an opportunity for women to be a part of breast cancer research studies aimed at determining the causes of breast cancer and how to prevent it. The goal: one million women of all ages and ethnicities - 358,000 women have joined.

There are currently more than 20 breast cancer studies seeking volunteers through the Army of Women.

 Many women are so scared of saying the wrong thing that they don't say anything at all. Then kids think the worst. And women who are going through hair loss need to be reminded that they are still beautiful and powerful and brave.
