    • Eden Godsoe: LOVED this movie. And loved that my husband also loved this movie. It wasn't just a chic flick. It was an amazingly funny and touching film for all adult audiences. I think it was better than the Hangover.

    • Krista: Completely agree with you - the book was absolutely wonderful, but I did enjoy the movie too. Dex was just as attractive as I imagined (if not more so!)

    ...I thought it would be good to look at ALL the movies directed by women this year in order to get a decent assessment of where we are going on two years after Kathryn Bigelow won the best director award.

    UP ALL NIGHT premiered on NBC 9/14/11 at 10 p.m. before assuming its regular time slot on 9/21/11 at 8 p.m. This comedy involved Christina Applegate and Will Arnet becoming new parents (unplanned) and try to manage it all.

    Larissa says: "This is looking pretty funny I must say. Almost like the continuance of "Knocked Up" with some added humor from Maya Rudolph. I just hope that it does live up to the buzz that's been going on."

    REVENGE premieres on ABC Wednesday 9/21/11 at 10 p.m. It is about a young woman out to get revenge on the Hamptonites who used her father as a scandal scapegoat and pretty much ruined her life in the process.

    Larissa says: "I was not convinced that this would be a good show when watching the previews, but with the buzz and reviews stating that it is one to look out for I'll be giving it a chance."
    • Cassandra: LOVE this show...I don't know that I'd ever be able to do all that Emily has on the show, but she sure does make it look easy...you know, like burning down a house!

    NEW GIRL premieres on Fox 9/20/11. Will air on Tuesday nights 9/8 central. It is a new single-camera comedy that features a young ensemble cast and takes a fresh and outrageous look at modern male/female relationships.

    Larissa says: "I am very excited for this series! I am a big fan of Zooey Deschanel (loved her in 500 Days of Summer). The overall consensus throughout the web is that this is a new series that you canNOT miss."

    2 BROKE GIRLS premieres on CBS Monday 9/19/11 at 9:30 p.m. It is a comedy about two strikingly different young waitresses who form an unlikely friendship, starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs.

    Larissa says: "I wasn't too impressed with the first commercial I saw for this show, but then seen an extended trailer and it sold me. I will be checking this show out to see if it truly is DVR worthy."
