How long will your husband/partner go with an empty toilet paper roll before he replaces it (assuming you don't replace it first)?

I am in complete shock. My husband actually changed the toilet paper roll. He didn't just put a new roll on the ground next to the toilet...he actually put it in spindle. It took about 5 days but this is a major break through! Now if he would get to the other major thing on his "to do" list - parking permits.

I shudder to even think of how long this could go on for. Although he once took an inventive approach of "sourcing" a new roll but then somehow perching it on top of the old, expired roll so as not to exert the required effort to pop out the old roll and pop in the new one.

this was hysterical eden..you made me laugh on a day when my clothes dryer is down and the car is still at the garage.......
Not a minu...
He won't empty the dishwasher or fold laundry, but for some reason he'll replace the toilet paper immediately.
1 to 3 day...
Haven't tested this in a while. Think I will do so this week.

He'll get out a new roll but leaves it on top of the empty one on the spindle. I cannot begin to understand how that saves any time or energy at all, but there you have it. It'll stay that way until I throw the old one out and replace it - I've even tested it before to see, and he left it until the "new" roll was empty - leading to a THIRD roll. I secretly wonder if he prefers to have it off the spindle so it's easier to wrap around his hand when he does have to use toilet paper. ONE YEAR LATER: I feel compelled to publicly acknowledge the fact that my husband put a new roll of toilet paper ON THE ACTUAL SPINDLE this weekend. Granted, it was not unprompted, and I had already put the new roll in a basket in the bathroom, ready to go - but this is serious progress.

He takes it out of the cabinet and sticks it on the back of the toilet, but to put it in? Why would he bother?

He would use other bathrooms first. I'm guessing it would take a good month.

Why is "Armageddon" not an option?

He doesn't even know where the extra rolls are stored.

I shudder to think he may go without, but I doubt he even knows were the extra rolls are!
