Never
Within +/- 1%. I don't say it unless I mean it. Lately I'm trying, "What would need to happen for me to say yes?" and let them think it through.

I am pretty good on follow through but sometimes just don't have the energy, especially w/ my 2-yr old.
Never
I'm sure it's not "never," but I do my best to keep it pretty close. That said, I *hate* those times when I've said no without really thinking about whether it might have been one to let them win on, e.g., at bedtime on a weekend night when it really wouldn't have been that big a deal to let them play for a few more minutes. One of the worst things about parenting for me is those situations where I have to back up the "no" to an upset kid, when on the inside I'm secretly agreeing with him that yes, I am being totally and completely unreasonable - but I can't stop now! It's made me work harder to be more thoughtful about my "nos."

I wish I had the ability to stay firm, but sometimes, even my stubborness to stick with my "no" seems silly to me!
