Once a week is a stretch though he cooks as much as I do. Usually its a breakfast spread of eggs, bacon, garlic bread & hashbrowns on Sat or Sun morning. He is also in charge of ordering the pizza on Sun night for "family pizza night."

If I have one complaint about my marriage/partnership, this is it. I don't make too big a deal of it, since he usually takes care of breakfast for the kids (pretty much every day), but getting dinner on the table after working all day is probably in my top three stressors on a day in, day out basis. We have periodic conversations about his taking responsibility for at least one night a week, even if it's just takeout, but it never seems to come to pass.

My husband rarely (once a year?) cooks dinner but is fabulous at making sure we go out or ordering in on the days when I would like a break from cooking. He is however,an excellent Bar B Qer.

he was a fry cook in college - a good thing on a husband resume! actually, we often split cooking. he grills the meat and i do all the sides. that said, i shop for the meat and prepare it for grilling...he just throws it on the bbq.
