And am happy that the school my son starts in the Fall does have uniforms. It saves us parents a ton of time; may also save money. For girls in particular I like that it means everyone wears the same thing - no poking fun at girls who look different or girls who can't afford the latest & greatest.

Yes, the I don't have to be the bad guy to point out I don't like her choice of outfit
Yes
I think it would make the morning "get dressed" routine so much simpler.
Yes
But I like best the approach that has uniforms that allow for a little bit of individuality to come through - a few options so that kids can mix and match a bit and/or wear the cut of clothes that they feel most comfortable in (for example, girls could wear pants instead of a shirt, or boys have some different choices of shirt style).
Yes
Certainly would simplify Back to school shopping - and honestly I think it places all children on the same playing level - not trying to one up the other with what's "cool"

My high school daughter just started at a school with strict uniforms and it is FABULOUS!

we have unniforms and it saves many morning "discussions"

My kids" school does require they wear a uniform and it is amazing. Makes mornings nice and easy.
Yes
I would love to see our school system go to uniforms. I feel it not only would take the peer presure off children to wear the offten expensive or sometimes questionable new styles of clothing but also instills a pride in your school and the desire to do your best. When you feel your best , you tend to want to do your best!
Yes
I would love it and imagine it would greatly simplify our morning ritual of trying on a few outfits:)
Yes
Uniforms are great for simplification, of both buying and wearing. Our school has "Free dress Fridays" which is great for individuality. Also, the general rule is that your Friday clothes must cover as much as your uniform. It keeps a nice rein on some of the questionable options out there. The uniforms definitely add to school pride, and they are great on field trips too (easy ID)
