What is your opinion on teaching baby sign language to babies and toddlers at day care centers?

80% I think it is a valuable communication skill that should be taught to all children

I never taught my children it but would have no problem if a daycare taught my kids to sign. I would just want them to also teach me what the key signs were.

My youngest daughter didn't speak as early as my first and she really found the hand signals useful and it helped to avoid the frustrations of communicating without words. My daughter still uses the more sign on occasion (at age 5) when trying to really get across a strong desire for more. (I should mention that she speak very well now:))
