She is an awesome, hands on grandmother & I truly appreciate that. We share a love for my husband & my children. I enjoy her company to a degree but she is quite different than me & we don't see eye-to-eye on major issues (religion, women in the workplace, etc.) But we don't fight & I really do respect her & love that she loves my family. To me that's enough.

She is critical. She always finds something I do wrong or not good enough. She feels that if a thought comes into her brain she has the right to say it regardless of if it is hurtful, incorrect, or critical. I never feel I can relax around her...if i let my guard down and trust her, she will turn it on me at her first chance. She has done many things over the years to help me...but always at a price, it is never given in a clean way. I do love her...but I don't like her in any way. She has made that impossible because of her critical nature.

I'm closer to her than my mom. We have a lot in common, and even answer questions in the same way sometimes. Spooky, but awesome at the same time.

We get along fine, but man, does she get on my nerves.
Yes
Yes, but she lives 1,000 miles away and we only see her once or twice a year.

For the most part. We've had a couple of run-ins over the last 6 years, but she is SO good with my kids, takes them for weekends, that I'd be an idiot to prolong any tension with her.
