This is my favorite one to get him thinking critically on his own. Or is this my favorite because it takes the burden off me.

"Why do you think" is my preferred response. And when I am not stressed or juggling a hundred things, that's what I try to respond. But I will admit that perhaps my most common response (since most of the time I am stressed or jugging a hundred things) is "because I said so." Of course there is always the flat out ignore which I will do as well.
