In general, do you have a hard time saying NO (to invitations, projects, requests for help, etc)?

The older I get, the easier it gets to prioritize and realize that "no" isn't mean, it just means you know what the focus areas are right now...
Yes
I have improved at time management and am working on saying no when I don't have the time.
Yes
I do feel I need to be more selfish sometimes so I have more time w/ my husband & kids. I work 80+ hours per week, sit on 2 non-profit boards, am involved w/ school fundraisers, chat w/ at least 3-5 people each week who seek my help/advice on various business-related matters. Then again, this is the way my father was & I do believe that I am most efficient when I am super busy.
No
Not anymore. I've finally gotten to the point where I can say, "oh how interesting; let me get back to you" and think it over before deciding. It's no fun being underwater all the time with too many commitments.
No
Not in general - but I'll admit that this depends A LOT on who's doing the asking.
No
I was just talking about this with my co-worker and we concluded that this is a learned skill (saying "no") but one that is invaluable in preventing feeling crazy. One tip that has worked for me (in my older, wiser age) is to say, "Let me think about that overnight" before giving and answer and, then, when declining, do NOT explain. Just a polite, "I'm so sorry I just can't take that on right now."
