Have you ever worried (even if for just a day) that people wouldn't attend your child's birthday party?

I've had this concern. I just think parents are busy, especially at certain times of the year. I'm sure my child would have fun if only 3 friends showed but I always stress if more don't respond. Of course it always works out but I am the kind of person that always thinks "what if these people don't like me" or "what if there is some better party the same weekend".
Yes
Because EVERY time I plan one I always pick the wrong weekend. Ugh.

I know that people's schedules are hard to juggle and if the date does not work and I know that early on - I will re jog the party so that it is a special time for my child. Make it smaller, make it a different thing but keep with their big requests

it's silly but normal.

I think it is natural. All parents hope that their child has friends who care about them and that their won't be disappointed at their party by a low turnout! A bigger trick is that I have twins who at this point have separate parties because they have separate interests and friends. Of course, they keep score of who had more kids attend! That, I have no control over and always remind them that at least they both have good friends but sometimes friends or parents have other schedules so can't make their party.
Yes
I worry that right now. That's why we're going to do a family party this year. Maybe at 5 it'll be easier to put an invitation list together.
