Andrew Tate is not Romanian. It is well documented that the online influencer is British-American and does not have Romanian nationality.

Tate first got linked with Romania in 2017 when he opted to move to Bucharest, the capital city of the European country, from the United Kingdom. His decision was fueled by the controversy surrounding his support for convicted sexual offender Harvey Weinstein.

Tate was banned from Twitter that year after saying that women must “bear some responsibility” when they are sexually assaulted. He was also said to have been facing sexual assault charges in the UK at the time, hence his decision to leave the country.
