Felicia Day was born on June 28, 1979, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was home-schooled for the larger part of her childhood but would later take courses at National Merit Scholarship Program. As a gifted violinist, Felicia Day decided to join the Universiy of Texas at Austin on a full scholarship in violin performance, giving up her chance to study at Julliard School of Music that had offered her an opportunity to study music. At the university, she majored in mathematics and music performance. Despite her love for education, she didn’t allow it to stop her from pursuing her true dream of becoming an entertainer. She succeeded in perfecting her musical skills and also developed a passion for video games.

This early love for video games made her gain the wealth of experience she used in developing her work on The Guild web series, particularly when she played World of Witchcraft.

While she was busy throughout her childhood and teen days improving her talents, Felicia Day started acting at an early age of 7. Her first role was on stage in a local production titled To Kill a Mockingbird. After school, she moved to Los Angeles.
