Robbie Amell’s Bio

Amell was born on April 21, 1988, in Toronto Ontario, and was raised alongside his sister by their parents Jo and Rob Amell who deal in custom jewelry. The siblings started their careers in acting and modeling quite early, but Robbie eventually became more passionate about the venture.

His first few stints were on commercials before he nabbed roles in high school plays including playing Picasso at the Lapin Agile and in The Importance of Being Earnest. After high school, Amell continued to play even while attending Sir John A Macdonald Collegiate in Toronto in 2006. His growing interest in acting made him join Canadian Studios Acting Academy to further hone his skills.

Movies and TV Shows

Long before he appeared on the famous CW series The Tomorrow’s People, The Scooby-Doo, and The Flash which made him very famous, Robbie Amell played Daniel Murtaugh in Cheaper by the Dozen 2. He was able to secure a few lines in the film show that was meant to be a non-speaking role in his try at acting.

The actor went on to do more TV series starring in the series Life With Derek playing Max, Casey McDonald’s boyfriend. He garnered considerable acclaim for his roles on TV shows such as ABC family film Picture This, Nickelodeon series True Jackson, VP, and True Love Interest. He also attracted the desired attention of wholesome fans when he played in CN series Unnatural History, and Pretty Little Liars.

His next acclaim came with his role in the horror film Left for Dead. This gave him the chance to join the cast of Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins. His effect was also felt in the show and it became one of the most watched shows on Cartoon Network ever. This made him merit a chance to reprise the role the following year. It wasn’t long before he landed his most significant role yet in the CW’s sci-fi drama The Tomorrow People. As the lead character in the 2013 show, he was bent on taking down the evil people. His prominence in the show which is a remake of a British series of the same name marked the beginning of his consistent appearance on more TV works such as The Duff, The Flash, Nine Lives and The X-Flies.
