The siblings were all introduced to sports at a very young age by their father, Averion Hurts Sr., who is a renowned former American football player. He is currently 29 years old, and this means he is four years older than Jalen, who was born on August 7, 1998. However, at a height of 5 feet 11 inches, he is not as tall as Jalen, who stands 6 feet 1 inch tall. Nevertheless, their age and height difference has not affected their relationship, as they share a very close bond.

Although nothing is known about Averion’s childhood and early education, it is common knowledge that he got involved in sports right from when he was a child, thanks to his father, Averion Hurts Sr., who was an American football player.

Averion Jr.’s Education and Career

Averion attended Texas Southern University and graduated with the class of 2016. During his time at the institution, he played football with the Texas Southern Tigers and was the starting quarterback. He also played football for Men’s Varsity Football at Kilgore College and Spring Football Boys’ Football at Channelview High School.

Although Averion Hurts Jr. did not continue his football career to the professional level after he graduated from college, he still works in the industry. He is now a certified coach and quarterback developer. He previously worked in this capacity at Summer Creek High School but was recently hired by the University of Alabama, where his younger brother first played football after he graduated from high school in 2016.

Is Averion Hurts Jr. Married?

Averion Jr. is married at the moment. He is married to a woman named Alexandra Hurts, whom he met and fell in love with when he was an undergraduate student at Texas Southern University (she was also a student at the same university).

They tied the knot in a lavish wedding on January 2, 2021, and bought their first home in November of the same year. Obviously having the time of their lives as husband and wife, Averion Jr. and Alexandra boomed on social media in June 2023 with pictures of their vacation to Turks and Caicos Island.

Who Is Jalen Hurts’ Sister?

Kynnedy Hurts is Jalen Hurts’ younger and only sister. Also the youngest of her parent’s children, she was born on November 24, 2004, and is currently 19 years old, six years younger than her immediate older brother, Jalen. While the institution where she began her academic journey is also not known, it’s common knowledge that she is currently a student of Channelview High School, from where she is set to graduate later in 2023. She plays volleyball for the school’s volleyball team (Lady Falcon Varsity Volleyball team) and wears jersey number #12.

Kynnedy joined the team on the 13th of August, 2021, as an outside hitter and has been one of its strongest hands. She recorded 13 kills during the game between her school and Sam Rayburn in August 2022 and 6 kills in another match against Goose Creek Memorial. Meanwhile, before she started playing volleyball, Kynnedy attended Anthony Aguirre Junior High and was a track and field athlete there.

Being the immediate younger sibling of Jalen Hurts, Kynnedy shares a very close relationship with him. Speaking in an interview, Jalen once described Kynnedy as the smartest of his siblings, saying he has watched her put in an endless amount of work into her sport.

Also, during an interview with GQ in April 2021, Jalen talked about various things he has already done with his money and how he also plans to spend it in the future. Apart from charity, he mentioned that he has already set aside $70,000 for his sister, Kynnedy Hurts, to go to college. According to him, he had not talked to anyone about it at the time, not even his sister or their parents. “Just in case she needs it I have $70,000 set aside for her to go to college,” he said.
