Hold the Wine: My Perfect Day in Napa

by Larissa posted to Travel & Places | 1,295 views

I enjoy wine, but am not a connoisseur by any means and don't go to Napa seeking out the best wines. I'm all about the food, luscious scenery and photo ops - check out my picks!

Lunch: Oxbow Public Market

610 1st St, Napa, CA 94559

My favorite lunch spot - perfect for a smorgasbord of local delights. Pick a baguette from the bakery, some charcuterie, tacos, Hog oysters and a bottle of champagne, grab a shaded table outside and you're set.

Fatted Calf Charcuterie

The Oxbow Public Market, 644 C 1st St, Napa, CA 94559

OMG, they make the best homemade rillettes and pate, love their saucisson and deli meats, not to be missed!

Retail Therapy: Napa Premium Outlets

867 Factory Stores Drive, Napa, CA 94558

The day isn't complete without stopping at the outlets - worth checking out: Barneys, J.Crew, Cole Haan, Lucky.

Snacks: Bouchon Bakery

6528 Washington St, Yountville, CA 94599

I'm not a fan of the restaurant but the bakery is worth the calories - don't miss their macarons and chocolate croissants.

Domaine Carneros

1240 Duhig Rd, Napa, CA 94559

Hands down my favorite winery - love the rosé champagne, cheese and dessert plates, and of course the amazing view of the valley.

Joseph Phelps Vineyards

200 Taplin Rd, St. Helena, CA 94574

Great wines and scenery - the perfect spot for a picnic and photos.

Spa: Solage Calistoga

755 Silverado Trl, Calistoga, CA 94515

A wonderful place to relax and get a massage - grounds are beautiful, services are top notch, a little spendy but definitely worth it.

Dinner: Zuzu

829 Main St, Napa, CA 94559

My new favorite restaurant in Napa - unpretentious, great ambiance and food - don't miss the paella and tapas (be sure to order the seared duck breast with quinoa)
